Description
Process for the preparation of a low-viscosity viscose solution for artificial silk manufacture The invention relates to a simplified method for the production of a viscose solution for the rayon production of very low Viscosity.
The viscose process is used in the manufacture of rayon For certain types of silk, a cellulose is required as the starting material, its viscose solutions Without pre-ripening of the alkali cellulose, a very low viscosity directly after dissolving own.
To produce such a pulp, it was previously necessary to im Cooking process already largely remove the lignin, which is also significant Cellulose loss due to degradation is linked.
It has now been found that it is possible to use a pulp to produce with the desired properties from normal cooked cellulose, thereby that one can use chlorine bleaching in a manner known per se, which is not up to the full Whiteness is carried out, followed by bleaching with an oxygen-releasing bleach in an alkaline solution. In this way pulps are obtained, those with the normal composition of the viscose solution (7010 cellulose, 60; o caustic soda) have a viscosity according to C o c h i u s of 20 seconds, a viscosity which was previously not achievable with otherwise pretreated pulps. Example pulp, which has a chlorine consumption of 5% chlorine, is with approximately 80% of the necessary chlorine pre-bleached. After the Dutch liquid has been thoroughly drawn off, i kg of sodium peroxide and 1 kg of sodium silicate are added per 1 ounce of cellulose and bleached. The bleached cellulose is processed in the usual way, but without the alkali cellulose being pre-ripened processed on Viscase.
It has already been proposed in the bleaching of paper stocks chlorination with superoxides. But this procedure has with nothing to do with the present because it does not result in the suitability of one in the indicated manner treated pulp as a starting material for cellulose xanthate results.
