Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polymerisationsprodukten der Butadienkohlenwasserstoffe Die Polymerisation von« Butadienkohlenwasserstoffen in Gegenwart von Alkali- oder Erdalkalimetallen, ihren Legierungen oder 'Mischungen unter sich oder mit anderen Metallen wird meist in liegenden, um ihre Längsachse rotierenden Autoklaven durchgeführt. Solange die Reaktionsmasse noch flüssig ist, bietet die Wärmeabführung keine Schwierigkeit. Mit fortschreitender Polymerisation beginnen aber die Massen zäh, klebrig und schließlich fest zu werden und zeigen dann Neigung, an den Gefäßwandungen festzukleben und diese mit einem den Wärmeaustausch verhindernden Überzug zu belegen, wodurch dann leicht sehr unzuträgliche und gefährliche Überhitzungen erfolgen. Beim weiteren Fortschreiten der Polymerisation kommt es dann manchmal wieder zum Loslösen der Polymerisate von den Wandungen; in anderen Fällen bleibt das Produkt so fest haften, daß seine Entfernung nach Beendigung der Reaktion nicht ohne Schwierigkeit möglich ist. Auch leidet darunter meist die nötige bzw. gewünschte gleichmäßige Verteilung der angewandten Alkalimetalle usw. Gefäße, deren Wände möglichst glatt sind, benutzt. Zweckmäßig hat der Innenraum dieser Gefäße eine solche Form, daß während der Bewegung dem Gefäßinhalt, besonders auch den als Polymerisationsmittel benutzten Alkalimetallen usw., keinerlei Hindernisse geboten werden. Nietköpfe, Nuten, Rinnen, Wülste sowie in schroffem Winkel zueinander stehende Begrenzungsflächen und Kanten sind daher zweckmäßig zu vermeiden.
