Egg Coating Apparatus The invention relates to
a device for coating eggs with airtight masses by brushing them.
The novelty of the device is seen according to the invention that transversely
to the conveying direction of the eggs several of two rotatable one on top of the other
Brush existing eggs while brushing on the protective mass at the same time
promoting pairs of brushes are provided side by side.

In the accompanying drawings, two embodiments are shown in accordance with
of the invention, wherein: Fig. i and 2 show a side view and a

Fig.7 shows a partial cross-section along line X-X of Fig. I, with the feed
and discharge of the eggs is shown.
In both embodiments, the same reference numerals are used for identification
of the corresponding parts used.
In Figs. I, 2, 5 and 6, a machine a is shown which
has nine pairs of horizontally rotating bristle brushes b, b1, the bristles of which at c
are partially cut out elliptically so that the upper bristles are concave

or bearings of the brushes are arranged in two parallel rows e, f, which suffice

achieve that none of the brushes of the upper row f is immediately above the corresponding one
Brush of the lower row e. At one end of each brush is a pin wheel
i attached, which by means of an endless chain of that through the handle

j transmits its running motion to all of the pin wheels arranged on the brushes
i and thus sets the upper set of brushes f in a rotating movement against it

are freshly laid eggs of the same by hand or by mechanical means, not shown

then the drive wheel is set in rotation by means of the handle.
Here
the egg to be hermetically sealed is inserted between the first pair of brushes b, b-1,
out, which automatically brushes wax or paste on its surface and
passes the egg between the next pair of rotating brushes while rotating,
and so on until the exit. This will make the pores of the eggshells with a

can be preserved indefinitely.
In den Abb. 3, 4, 5 und 6 ist eine Anzahl von Bürstenreihen vorgesehen;
den Durchlauf der Eier wesentlich erleichtert.In Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6 a number of rows of brushes are provided;
which are arranged in upper and lower rows of brushes b, b1 on a frame m,
which has an upper frame n for the purpose of receiving an egg container o. At the entrance and

to be conveyed from there between all the upper and lower rows of brushes

the passage of the eggs much easier.
