Description

Die Herstellung von wandernden Schleifbändern geschieht gewöhnlich in der Weise, daß man das Band auf der einen Seite mit einer Leimschicht versieht, auf welche die Schleifkörner aufgebracht werden. Die auf diese Weise hergestellten Schleifbänder weisen den Mangel auf, daß diejenige Seite, auf welcher sich das Schleifmittel befindet, das Bestreben hat, sich konkav zu wölben. Die Folge davon ist, daß sich das Band bei der Benutzung an den Kanten rascher abnutzt als in der Mitte und außerdem auch das Schleifen ein ungleichmäßiges wird.
