Description

Process for the production of smooth, mirror-like gelatin films by immersing glass substrates that have been pretreated with metal salt powders According to known methods, gelatine can be made into Gelatin solution of the appropriate concentration based method gelatin foils of any strength. Such gelatin films are used for the production of Various types of packaging are used. For this it is necessary that these foils some degree of suppleness and firmness and complete transparency and can also be easily removed from the glass base.

It is already known that gelatine can be made with certain additives, like glycerin, turquoise bread oil, soap. Sugar, can make you pliable, and you have the glass plates to be immersed have already been treated with metal salt powders beforehand. But all the desired properties, completely satisfactory suppleness, Sufficient detachability from the glass base and the required mirror finish, not yet achieved together.

In the usual production of gelatin foils, one gives to one easy detachment of the same from the glass substrate before the dunking process some beef bile too. But this addition fails in the present case, since everything Apparently the effect of beef bile was canceled out by the addition mentioned will.-. It has been found that easily removable films can be obtained as described above treated gelatine can probably be obtained if one uses the dunking process with metal plates instead of glass plates. The gelatin films obtained in this way have the desired suppleness, firmness and transparency, but not those of the above Purpose also necessary mirror finish. First present invention has led to the desired success.

According to the invention, the gelatin solution before immersion of the glass plates a mixture of a high quality, at least 7 per cent Türkiscbrotöles (calculated on SO 3) and spirituous Amrnoniakseifenlösung of 1 5 ° to 2o 'o fat added.

An absolutely safe removal of such foils is achieved if the glass plates necessary for the dunking process are pretreated with certain dust-fine powdered metal salts or mixtures of these by rubbing them in. The gelatin films obtained in this way have all the properties that they must have for the above-mentioned intended use in their entirety. EXAMPLE 5 kg of a mixture of equal parts of at least -7 percent Turkish red oil and equal parts of spirituous ammonia soap solution of 15 are added to an aqueous gelatin solution consisting of 15 kg gelatin and 85 kg water (the gelatin content must be different depending on the gelatin strength to be achieved) Add o / o to 20% fatty acid content, mix carefully, filter and add the mixture to dip. The glass plates used for this purpose are finite beforehand with a fine metal salt powder, e.g. B. bismuth chloride, rubbed with or without table salt in a dusty mixture.
