Verfahren zur Herstellung eines dauerhaften Holzanstrichmittels. Zusatz zum Patent 32ooII. Die Anwendung des im Patent 32ooII und im Zusatzpatent 32573I beschriebenen Verfahrens auf Ablaugen von der Behandlung des Torfes mit Alkali führte zu der Feststellung, daß das Verfahren des Hauptpatentes seine Brauchbarkeit auch dann behält, wenn die Einwirkung des Alkalis auf die Pflanzenstoffe sehr tiefgreifend war und zur Bildung von Humus- bzw. Huminsäuren geführt hat; denn auch diese sind durch Säuren fallbar und bilden Ammonsalze, die in Wasser leicht löslich sind und in der Wärme durch Rückbildung der unlöslichen Säure zersetzt werden. Andererseits werden auch diese Säuren durch Eisensalze gefällt, und die Fällungsprodukte sind in Ammoniak unter Bildung komplexer, aber hitzeunbeständiger Verbindungen löslich, so daß man sie genau wie die in dem Zusatzpatent 32573I erwähnten verwenden kann. Statt von Ablaugen der Einwirkung des Alkalis auf Torf und ähnliche Substanzen auszugehen, kann man natürlich auch die technisch zugänglichen huminsauren Alkalisalze (Kaßlerbraun, Nußbaumbeize) und andere huminsäurehaltige Stoffe verwenden.Process for making a durable wood paint. additive for patent 32ooII. Von der 2prozentigen Ferrichloridlösung sind dazu bei den meisten Beizesorten etwa 5 1 nötig. Man dekantiert nun so gut wie möglich ab, filtriert den Rest in Spitzbeutel oder in Gefäße mit Böden aus Filtersteinen und trocknet den Rückstand entweder auf porösen Tonplatten bzw. im Vakuum vollkommen oder nur bis zu solchem Grade, daß die resultierende Paste nach Zusatz von wenig Ammoniak eine gebrauchsfertige Holzbeize ergibt. Eine solche bekommt man z. B., wenn die Konzentration in bezug auf Trockensubstanz des durch die Eisenlösung erzeugten Niederschläges 8 bis 1o Prozent beträgt.
