Diese Sprühkammerdecke c besteht aus einem engmaschigen Gewebe oder aus einer mit Löchern oder Schlitzen versehenen Platte. Um die Leistung der Brennkraftmaschine zu erhöhen und um eine vollständige Verbrennung des Gemisches zu gewährleisten, wird dem Saugstutzen an einer- Stelle f Zusatzluft zugeführt, und zwar durch eine zwangläufig durch die Drosselklappenachse g betätigte Vorrichtung (z. B. ein Ventil h), mittels deren die Zusatzluftmenge in dem Sinne geregelt wird, daß sie mit fortschreitender Eröffnung der Drosselklappe anwächst. Die Luftmenge selbst ist in ihrer Größe durch die Steuerscheibe i einstellbar; auch kann ihrVerhältnis mit der Stellung der Drosselklappe bestimmt werden. Für den Leerlauf saugt die Brennkraftmaschine den Brennstoff durch den Kanal k und die Drosselklappenachse g an. Die Drosselklappenachse g ist zu diesem Zweck mit einem Schlitz l versehen, durch den das Leerlaufgemisch angesaugt wird. Durch die Drehung und damit Eröffnung der Drosselklappe gleitet der Schlitz Z über die Bohrung k. Sobald er die Bohrung überschritten hat, kann kein Brennstoff mehr angesaugt werden, der Leerlauf ist abgestellt.
