Description

Process for the production of an irreversible jelly from rubber milk It is a process for making a reversible paste from rubber milk has been proposed in which the rubber milk with as much acid of any concentration is brought together quickly so that a PH <2, expediently pH <i, is achieved, whereupon the deposited rubber is separated from the serum after some time.

It has now been found that rubber in the form of an irreversible Jelly can be deposited from rubber milk if you use the rubber milk in this way a lot of acid of any concentration quickly brings together that a hydrogen ion concentration pH <2, expediently <i, is achieved and then substances which reduce the surface tension reduce, e.g. B. ß-naphthalenesulfonate sodium, sodium salts isopropylated Naphthalene sulfonic acids, Turkish red oils or similar substances; adds. In The entire mass solidifies in a short time, with a small amount precipitating out Serum forms a voluminous, irreversible jelly that is extremely easy can be divided and completely washed out by simply soaking. The single ones Pieces of the jelly can be closed using little mechanical energy Roll out thin, quickly and completely drying skins that have a high quality Represent raw rubber. Before or after the formation of the jelly can also Substances that are important for the further processing of the raw rubber, e.g. B. vulcanizing agents, Accelerator or filler material, can be added. Example i i 1 rubber milk is quickly poured into 7 percent hydrochloric acid while stirring vigorously, so that after Completion of the mixture a pH of 0.6 to 0.8 is present. One adds 15 ccm of a 5 percent solution of the sodium salt of an isopropylated naphthalenesulfonic acid, whereupon the formation of the jelly occurs immediately.

The same result is achieved by adding an approximately equally strong aqueous solution of Turkish red oil. EXAMPLE e 1 1 Rubber milk is brought to a pH of 1 by adding 7 percent hydrochloric acid and then 50 cc of a 5 percent aqueous solution of sulfurized oleic acid (commercial pre-stable oil) is added. The formation of the jelly occurs after a few seconds.

Beispiel 3 i 1 Kautschukmilch, enthaltend 28o g Kautschuk, wird mit einer Suspension von i i g Schwefel in 50 ccm Wasser versetzt. Wird hierauf gemäß Beispiel i verfahren, so erhält man eine irreversible Gallerte, die den für die Vulkanisation erforderlichen Schwefel in feiner Verteilung enthält.EXAMPLE 3 A suspension of 1% sulfur in 50 cc of water is added to 1 rubber milk containing 28o g of rubber. If you then proceed as in Example i, an irreversible jelly is obtained which contains the sulfur required for vulcanization in fine distribution.
