Diese Messungen werden teuer, umständlich und auch nicht völlig genau, weil die Korrektur der Gasmengen je nach Druck und Temperatur nur mit dem Mittelwert der letzteren vorgenommen werden kann. Als einzige Meßgeräte, welche diese Korrektur entbehrlich machen, sind die Teilstrommesser im Handel, wobei die Druckdifferenz an einer Drosselscheibe eine Düse derart steuert, daß die aus der letzteren austretende Gasmenge in einem bestimmten Verhältnis zu der durch die Drosselscheibe hindurchgehenden Menge steht. Die direkte Messung der Energie wird dadurch erreicht, daß man bei Strömungsteilern die austretende und von der Druckdifferenz an der Drosselscheibe gesteuerte Teilgasmenge einem Kalorimeter zuführt, welches anzeigend, registrierend oder auch zählend sein kann. Die bereits vorhandenen Strömungsteiler und Gaskalorimeter können hierfür nach kleinen konstruktiven Umänderungen benutzt werden. Schwankungen des Druckes und der Temperatur sind auf das Meßergebnis ohne Einfluß, weil die Teilgasmenge zu der gesamten Gasmenge in einem von Druck und Temperatur unabhängigen Verhältnis steht.
