Description

Vorrichtung zum Weichmachen endloser starrer Kunstfaserbänder Im Patent .4oi 6z9 ist das Weichmachen starrer endloser Bänder von Kunstfasern beansprucht, wobei das Faserband zwischen miteinander zahnradartig im Eingriff stehenden Bolzen, deren Umfangsgeschwindigkeit größer ist, als die Geschwindigkeit, mit welcher das Band zugeführt-wird, durchgeknetet wird. Im Zusatzpatent493 216 ist ferner gezeigt worden, daß man die Rundbolzen vorteilhaft durch mit wellenförmigen Arbeitstanten versehene Metalleisten ersetzen kann. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet eine weitere Ausbildung der zum Weichmachen starrer Kunstfaserbündel vorgeschlagenen Vorrichtung. Anstatt die Durcharbeitung des Bandes nur auf der kurzen Strecke der gemeinsamen Sehne der beiden sich schneidenden Bolzenkreise vorzunehmen, wird gemäß der Erfindung die das Faserband bearbeitende Strecke dadurch verlängert, daß die Werkzeuge zum Weichmachen auf Vorrichtungen angeordnet werden, die als endlose Ketten ausgebildet sind, die ihrerseits von je zwei Rädern getragen sind, welch letztere also mit den Werkzeugen keine starre Verbindung besitzen; beispielsweise wird, wie an Raupenschleppern, das Band von Rädern getragen und abgerollt. Die Zeichnung dient zur Erläuterung der neuen Vorrichtung. a, a und b, h sind die beiden die Bolzen- oder Lamellenketten tragenden Räderpaare, durch deren Drehung dein Kreislauf der Bolzenkette auf der Strecke c-d eine Geschwindigkeit gleich der Umfangsgeschwindigkeit der Räder a und h erteilt wird. Ist diese Umfangsgeschwindigkeit größer als die Eintrittsgeschwindigkeit des Bandes E in die Bolzen-oder Lainellenkreise, so wird das Band nunmehr auf der ganzen Strecke von c nach mitgenommen und durchgeknetet. Die maschinenbaulichen Einzelheiten dieser Vorrichtung sind nicht Gegenstand der Erfindung diese umfaßt vielmehr als wesentlichen Erfindungsgedanken die Verlängerung der das Band bearbeitenden Bolzen- oder Lamellenstrecke i. durch Anordnung je zweier Trag- und Förderräder für jeden Kreislauf der Bolzen oder Lamellen, 2. durch Loslösung der Balzen- oder Lamellenkreise von den Rädern und Anordnung der ersteren in zwei in sich geschlossenen Ketten, die z. B. als starke Gallsche Ketten ausgebildet sein können.
