Description

Process for the production of viscose It has been shown that at Place of the oxalic acid or its alkali salts mentioned in the main patent also organic Oxy acids, such as. B. citric acid, tartaric acid, lactic acid etc. or their salts, can be used, compounds of heavy metals from viscose do more or less to keep away. This occurrence of heavy metal connections is namely as one of the causes that lead to quality damage of the created structures can result from viscose has been recognized.

I %.The addition of the tartrates, citrates, lactates, etc. or the corresponding acids to the viscose can also be accomplished here in any desired manner. The amount added is varied according to the technical requirements; concentrations between 0.1 and 1 % are common .

As examples of the execution of the procedure «-ground without us In order to restrict it to this case, stated: r. 5 g of Seignette salt dissolved with stirring in r liter of viscose, which is further treated held in the usual way.

Die Viskose wird in bekannter Weise in mineralsauren, gegebenenfalls salzhaltigen Bädern versponnen.2. 1o g of lactic acid sodium are added to the lye or water that serves to dissolve the sodium zanthogenate necessary for r liter of viscose, added and in this way incorporated into the viscose. The viscose is made in a known manner spun in mineral acid, possibly salty baths.

The process proposed by us differs fundamentally from the process of DRP 274 550 and the associated additional patent 283 286. These two patents claim the use of solutions of citric acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid and their salts as precipitation baths for - \ - iskose solutions Precipitation baths are used, which consist exclusively of the solutions of these acids and their salts and contain these in considerable quantities, as can be seen from the examples given. The composition of a spinning bath is called a solution of 30 "/" citric acid and 30 ° (o citric acid Na; another precipitation bath contains a saturated solution of lactic acid Na and 14 "/" lactic acid.

According to claim 2 of DRP 283 286 , some of the salts of the acids mentioned that are used are to be added to the viscose solution before spinning. In this embodiment, a precipitation bath made from the acids and their salts should also be used to coagulate the viscose solution.

The main difference between the present process and that of the patents mentioned is that here the organic oxy acids or their salts are added exclusively to the viscose and one of the baths used in practice is used as the spinning bath, that is, on the application of the organic acids mentioned or their salts are dispensed with in the spinning bath. This avoids the high costs of such precipitation baths compared to the cited patents 274 550 and 283 286, which represents a technical advance. It is clear that these expensive baths cannot be used without a large increase in production costs. In contrast to the previously known method, the present process enables the desired effect to be achieved in a convenient and economical manner.

Organic acids are also used to purify the cellulose xanthate been used. Those made from such purified cellulose xanthate But viscose no longer contain the organic acids. Also solutions of cellulose xanthate have already been mixed with organic acids for the purpose of cleaning. Such solutions but because of their short shelf life they were only used for special technical purposes usable. Such viscoses are out of the question for spinning purposes.
