Beim Durchziehen durch die Rohre e wird die Zweitluft vorgewärmt, was die Verbrennung begünstigt. Die Rohre e sind zur Feuerung hin seitlich offen, so daß die Luft in die Feuerung geleitet und zugleich ein Ver stopfen der Rohre e durch hereinfallenden Brennstoff vermieden wird.
