Sie werden mittelst kleiner Zapfen b, Fig. 2, drehbar gelagert, welche aus den Rändern b¹ des Gehäuses b³ durch Ausstanzen oder in anderer Weise gebildet sind. Diese Zapfen fassen in die durch Aufrollen gebildete Höhlung des Stabes a, Fig. 2, indessen könnte auch, wie in Fig. 5 punktirt angedeutet, der Stab a mit Zapfen b², Fig. 30, an beiden Enden versehen sein, welche in entsprechende Löcher der Gehäusewände fassen. Am unteren Ende der einen Stirnfläche jedes Stabes α ist ein Zapfen c, Fig. 5, angeordnet, der in einen Schlitz c¹ der Stange d fafst. Diese Stange d ist an der einen Längswand b¹ des Gehäuses b³, Fig. 2, verschiebbar, derart, dafs durch ihre Verschiebung im Sinne des Pfeiles 1, Fig. 1, die Büschel aufgerichtet und durch Zurückverschiebung im Sinne des Pfeiles 2, Fig. 4, die Büschel niedergelegt werden. Diese Verschiebung erfolgt durch Vermittelung des Deckels f, der mittelst Gelenkes f^l mit dem halbcylindrischen Verschlufsstück g verbunden ist. Letzteres ist mittelst der von den beiden kreisförmigen Böden g², Fig. 3, ausgehenden Zapfen g¹ in den Enden der Längswände b¹ des Gehäuses drehbar gelagert, so dafs es sich beim vollständigen Umlegen des Deckels f aus der Lage Fig. 4 in die Lage Fig. 1 ungefähr um etwa i8o° dreht. In der Lage Fig. 4 bildet der Halbcylinder g den Endverschlufs des Gehäuses b³. Alsdann wird die Stange d im Sinne des Pfeiles 1 verschoben, so dafs die Büschel α aufgerichtet werden, Fig. 1, bis der Zapfen g³ den Anschlag 6 im Ausschnitt d¹ trifft, Fig. 8, und die Drehung des Verschlufsstückes g begrenzt wird. In dieser Lage, welche auch Fig. 1 zeigt, sind die Büschel ganz aufgerichtet und der Deckel f liegt ganz unterhalb des Gehäusebodens, so dafs man die Bürste bequem handhaben kann. Durch die beschriebene Einrichtung wird erzielt, dafs die Büschel bereits niederlegt sind, bevor der Deckel f geschlossen ist. Innerhalb der Längswand des Gehäuses h ist in dem Bereiche dieses Zapfens d² ein geschlitztes Anschlagstück ft¹, Fig. 17, 18 und 19, mittelst Schraube h² derart befestigt, dafs, wenn man den Kasten Z mit den umgelegten Büscheln, Fig. 20, aus dem Gehäuse h im Sinne des Pfeiles 10, Fig. 17, herauszieht, der Anschlag W- den Zapfen d² fafst und die Stange d sich in dem Kasten Z im Sinne des Pfeiles 11 , Fig. 15, verschiebt. Auf diese Weise werden die Büschel α aufgerichtet; gleichzeitig wird der Kasten Z in der ausgezogenen Lage durch einen im Schlitz ft³ spielenden Federstift k festgehalten, der an dieser Stelle mit seinem stärkeren Theile in einem weiteren Theile des Schlitzes h³ Platz findet. Will man die Bürste schliefsen, so drückt man den Stift k so weit ein, dafs seine Ringnuth i in den engeren Theil des Schlitzes h³ gelangt, und schiebt den Kasten Z in das Gehäuse h.
