Nach dem vorliegenden Verfahren wird ein öldichtes Einsetzen der Porzellandurchführungen dadurch erreicht, daß zunächst der in dem Flanschteil des Öltopfbodens sitzende Teil der Durchführung verkupfert wird. Darauf wird in bekannter Weise durch eine niedrige Kittschicht die Durchführung in den Boden eingekittet und dann der überflüssige Raum zwischen der Durchführung und dem Topfflansch mit einer leicht schmelzbaren Metallmasse ausgefüllt, die einerseits mit dem Flansch, andererseits mit dem verkupferten Durchführungsteil eine so innige Verbindung eingeht, daß ein Durchlassen von C51 unmöglich wird. Als Metallnasse könnte irgendeine Metallegierung verwendet werden, deren Schmelzpunkt etwa ioo bis i5o° ist, so daß sie bei den vorkommenden Olschalterbelastungen nicht mehr weich werden kann.
