Da im allgemeinen ein geringer Gehalt des Brennstoffes an Carbonyl, der jedoch 1/2o °1o seines Gewichtes nicht unterschreiten sollte, zur Erzielung der günstigen Wirkung genügt, ist es in letzterem: Falle häufig zweckmäßig, nur einen vom Hauptstrom des Gases abgezweigten Teilstrome über oder durch das Carbonyl streichen zu lassen.
