Man
Flush offset pipe according to patent 363456 with a one-part or multi-part
Annular channel for marking the maximum wear and tear on the pipe invert become known
Flushing offset pipes are strong due to the abrasive effect of the flushing flow on the pipe base
attacked, so that with sufficient pipe wear the risk of bursting such
Pipes is given. In order to avoid one-sided wear of these pipes, one has
the same at the points of greatest wear, especially on the sole,
provided with reinforced walls. The need to use these pipelines at times
to examine the degree of their wear is made possible by the
Installation of signaling devices which automatically indicate when the pipeline is open
is worn off to a certain extent. Such a device exists, for example
from a pipe socket in which a piece of food is inserted so that between
a jacket space remains for the outer jacket of the pipe section and the lining,
which can be divided by longitudinal ribs. The individual segment-like
Parts of the jacket are in communication with the outside through bores. The characteristics
the maximum wear and tear on the pipe inverts due to the installation of such control pieces
however, unsafe because the pipe bottom of the flushing offset pipe with the pipe bottom of the connecting piece
does not always match exactly, so that the wear of the cylinder used
in the control piece does not match that of the latter and therefore
the signaling fails to serve its purpose. Other known facilities exist
mostly in the fact that you get into the pipe invert at the points where experience has shown
the wear is greatest, signal holes are drilled, but the wall is not
penetrate, but are only guided to such a depth as the permissible wear
may be. If the wear has progressed to this depth, then
the liquid pipe content penetrates through the signal hole to the outside and makes on this
Way to see that the pipeline is worn to a certain extent. Man
has also attached the signal holes to the pipelines in such a way that one
completely pierced the pipes and
cap screws inserted into the holes
which in turn were drilled to the appropriate depth. This had
the advantage that when draining the pipe contents, the hollow screw in question
Replace it with a solid screw and thus create a temporary seal
could until the tube was replaced. To counter the disadvantages which these
Kind of signaling devices attached and which consisted of these signal holes
only indicated the local wear and tear and did not respond when next to the holes
The wear and tear may have progressed even further, the patent 363 456 / 5d has a
Device proposed in which in the end wall of the pipe sections, namely
in the end faces of the fixed flanges or the pipe bundles in the case of loose flanges
a one-part or multi-part ring channel is screwed or milled, which the
Represents the limit up to which the wear of the backing pipes without the risk
the bursting of the pipes is allowed to proceed. This channel or these sub-channels
are closed laterally by the fact that the counter flange or counter collar with
his poetry on the same or on the same. To avoid the expiry of the
Cutting of the channel into the same or the partial channel penetrating liquid
to enable and thereby to indicate this fact, are the ring channel or
its parts each connected to the open air by a hole, which in an
is appropriate in any convenient manner.
It has now been shown that the attachment of this pipe channel in
the shape just explained has several disadvantages, especially those that
the ring channel must necessarily be attached to the site; at which
the seal is located between the two pipe flanges. There is the possibility of
that the seal squeezes into the channel and thus fulfills it
of the stated purpose becomes unusable.
The subject matter of the present invention overcomes this disadvantage
in that the ring channel is no longer attached to the face of the flange
but in the outer jacket of the pipe. The channel is covered by the bead,
against which the flanges drawn over it to connect the pipe sections
support. Here, too, the channel is passed through a hole that is expediently located
located at the bottom of the pipe, connected to the outdoors. Are several annular
Segments provided instead of a single ring channel, then each of these segments
connected to the outdoors. The new facility has the advantage that the
Ring channel is completely protected against clogging and is therefore always ready when needed
is to serve its purpose.
The subject of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in several
Exemplary embodiments illustrated, namely shows: Fig. I an end view
a round tube with an annular channel consisting of three segments, Fig. 2 a
Longitudinal section through the vertical center line of Fig. I, Fig.3 a vertical
Cross-section through the plane of the annular channel according to Fig. Z, Fig. 4 is an end view
of a non-circular pipe with an annular channel only attached to the lower base, Fig.
Figure 5 is a cross-section through the vertical center line of Figure 4.. As shown in Fig.
i to 3 can be seen, the end of the tube a is provided with a tube collar. In the
Contact surface of the pipe a and the collar b is the pipe channel c, which
can lead around the whole pipe or, as shown in the exemplary embodiment,
consists of three segment-like parts which are not connected to each other.
Each of these segment-like parts of the annular channel is through a bore d with the
Connected outdoors. As can be seen, this ring channel c is not simply in the jacket
of the tube a screwed in, but also the flange b has a corresponding recess
e, which coincides with the mentioned ring channel c so that from this a common
Channel emerges. However, it is easily possible to use the annular channel only in the tube
a and leave the flange b without turning. Is the pipe to the
Worn through places where the ring channel is located, then the
Pipe contents at this point into channel e and thus also through the bore
d into the open, so that the wear through of the offset pipe can be seen.
In Figs. 4 and 5 is a further embodiment of the subject of the invention
shown, namely a non-circular flush displacement pipe with reinforced bottom surface.
The ring channel e is only a small piece of the in this embodiment
The base area is extended and has the same effect here as in the previous embodiment
explained. Here, too, the tube a again has the bead b, against which the
Connecting flange supports. At the lowest point of the ring channel is
the hole d in the bead b, through which the pipe contents enter the open air, if
the wear of the wall has progressed so far that the pipe contents in
can enter channel e.
It is understood that the subject of the invention by
those in the description
explained and shown in the drawings
Embodiments are not exhausted, but also all other embodiments
fall within the scope of the invention which are based on the same basic idea.
