Process for the production of noble charcoal from anthracite To charcoal from
To obtain high purity, anthracite is used according to the invention. It
was known to degas and crush anthracite, for example when it was used for
Manufacture of electrodes to be used. According to the present invention
the anthracite also first degassed and crushed and then through a magnetic one
Thrown field. A purer part is separated from a less pure part. It
It is sufficient to shred it down to a grain size of about 5 to 8 mm to get up
this way to get a carbon material that is only half or less
than half of the original ash percentage. Through more
Shredding the effect is increased.
Anthracite is often used as a starting material for the production of purer ones
Coal has been used. One of the wet processing methods has been used.
However, these procedures are cumbersome and expensive. They generally require
a particularly extensive crushing of the coal and a rather cumbersome one
Treatment without allowing a complete liberation from all impurities.
In contrast, according to the present invention, the N "is extremely simple and
cheap, requires little space, is extremely quick and delivers nonetheless
a very substantially refined material. That: Material is special, for example
suitable for the extraction of pure coal for the manufacture of electrodes for electrical
Oven and other uses.
The magnetic cleaning as used here was on
already known and often used. It served, for example, to lead
of non-conductive materials or around magnetic from non-magnetic material coarse
to divorce. It is also used in the production of electrode carbon from lignite
suggested; But the degassed and coked lignite must go up to i? oo
Heated to 400 ° C, earth in order to reduce the iron compounds it contains.
; Ulan has also suggested, for example, using magnetic cleaning
Separate coke chunks from the ashes and slag of the furnaces. That it is possible
may be. by using the magnetic field in free fall, anthracite coke is also considerable
To refine was at first all the less to be expected than anthracite itself
is a very pure carbon material and there is nothing to indicate that it is physical
The prerequisites for an effective application of magnetic cleaning are given,
especially if not a very extensive comminution of the starting material is carried out
will. In fact, the magnetic process is never used to refine
Anthracite coke has been proposed. Surprisingly
has shown
but that even when using a grain size of about 5 to 8 now already one
very significant effect was achieved. The material separates as it passes through
by the magnetic field into two approximately equal parts, one less
than half the ash percentage as the starting material. Goes
if a grain size of less than z mm is reduced, a deposit is obtained
of about? / 3 of the amount used, with a percentage of impurities
less than 1/3 of the percent impurities in the starting material.
