Process for the production of coked briquettes without the use of adhesives.
It is known to use coked briquettes made from non-baking granular materials, such as. B. from coal or ore, without the use of adhesives, by integrating the substances to be briquetted with a slimy dispersion of baking coal and subjecting the briquettes formed from the mixture to a coking process. The fine grinding of the charcoal takes place with the simultaneous addition of water.
Practical experience has shown that the fine grinding of the baking coal by wet means and the mixing of the granular substances to be briquetted with the slimy dispersion of baking coal involve technical difficulties and economic disadvantages. The devices for grinding and mixing on the wet route are not very efficient, and the homogeneity of the material to be mixed is usually so poor that the properties, in particular the strength and reactivity of the coked briquettes are very different.
The purpose of the present invention is to overcome these drawbacks. In the method according to the invention, solid and reactive, coked briquettes are achieved without the use of adhesives from a mixture of non-baking substances in a grain size customary for briquetting purposes on the one hand and finely ground charcoal on the other hand by grinding the charcoal and mixing this charcoal with the Briquetting granular material carried out in a dry way with subsequent moistening of the mixture with water.
The quality of the briquettes produced in this way is impeccable in every respect. If the proportions of the components in the mixture are chosen appropriately, briquettes are produced which combine a sound hardness with a fine-pored structure that ensures high reactivity.
As non-baking, granular starting materials, all substances come into consideration whose processing according to the method in a mixture with finely ground baked charcoal results in technically and economically usable products, e.g. B. anthracite or lean coals, coke, semi-coke, charcoal, dust, pebbles and fine ores.
When using ore-containing raw materials, briquettes are obtained that can be smelted extremely easily and simply.
