Unbekannt ist die Anwendung der Vorspannung bei der Herstellung von langen Eisenbetonrohren, weil hier besondere praktische Schwierigkeiten vorliegen. Indessen ist das Vorspannen der Eisen nach der Erfindung, die darin besteht, da.ß man erhärtete Betonrohre nachträglich mit der Eisenbewehrung versieht, auch hier von größer Bedeutung, weil es ermöglicht, Eisenbetondruckrohre schnell mit der für den einzelnen Fall erforderlichen Eisenbewehrung zu liefern, und man nicht die langsame Erhärtung gewöhnlicher Eisenbetonrohre abzuwarten braucht.
