Grate for enamelling ovens or similar ovens
It is a great disadvantage in terms of heat economy that the grate weighs 3 to 5 times as much
is as high as the weight of the material to be fired. One has this disadvantage first because of it
sought to counteract that, instead of iron, high-temperature-resistant alloys
are used due to the higher strength at the temperatures in question
can be held weaker than the usual grids. At least it can
as a result, a weight reduction can only be brought about to a limited extent.
Then one went over to the frame on which the enamelling tools,
Rods etc. are built up outside the furnace chamber instead of arranging it like
until now; to be placed inside the furnace, where it receives a considerable part of the heat
absorbs and releases it into the outside air when the furnace is reloaded. the
The oven sole is slotted several times, and the slits for enamel points protrude
and similar known tools through to the firing material within the firing space
to wear; so only the tools mentioned are in the high-temperature clays.
According to the invention are now to curb the harmful heat extraction even more
and at the same time the operation of the furnace by easy changing of the tools
make it easier for the tools protruding through the slots to accommodate the goods
Interposition of insulating bodies to be connected to the supporting structure.
The set-up of the furnace can be seen in the accompanying drawing. Fig. I shows a section through the furnace i, which is heated electrically with the aid of the resistors 2, for example. The furnace sole is provided with continuous longitudinal slots 3 through which the tool [protrudes] and can be moved back and forth along the entire length of the slot. The tool is connected to the support structure 7 by a heat-insulating intermediate piece 5 (Fig. 3), into which on the one hand the pin 16 on the shaft 1z of the workpiece ¢ fits, while on the other hand it rests on the neck 1 5 of the pin 6 in the support structure 7. The attachment to the insulating piece 5 can be done by split pins, pins or cement. To move the support structure 7 in the direction of the furnace axis, rollers B are used, for example. To avoid heat loss through the slots 3, a seal, e.g. B. in the form of grinding plates 9 may be provided.
