z. B. Fachgestelle oder Schränke, sind bisher ortsfest. Die mit dem Leeren der Behälter
beauftragten Beamten müssen daher zu jedem Behälter hingehen. Ein selbsttätiges,

Vor jedem Schrank sitzen dieBeamten r, 2,3 usw. bis 30. Wie erwähnt, können
nun diese Schränke schrittweise oder kontinuierlich an den Beamten vorbeigeführt
werden. Zum leichteren Auffinden der einzelnen Fächer ist die vordere Wand der Briefschränke
durch farbige Karos unterteilt, wie dies in Abb. r beim Schrank b angedeutet ist.
Abb. q. zeigt einen Schrank mit numerierten Fächern. Die Entleerung der Schränke
erfolgt nach Abb. 5 rückwärts von Hand aus durch besondere Beamte, welche, wie in
Abb. 3 dargestellt ist, an den Stellen 31 bis 36 hinter der beweglichen Schrankwand

vornehmenden Beamten gleiten. Sollte aus Platzmangel in den Sortiersälen das darunterliegende
Stockwerk nicht zur Verfügung stehen, kann auch innerhalb eines Saales die Grob-
