Condensing steam turbine with switching device for exhaust operation
In the case of condensing steam turbines of high power it occasionally happens that as a result
If the auxiliary condensation machines fail, the turbine is switched to exhaust mode
must become. With this switchover it is necessary to remove the condenser from the turbine
switch off, otherwise the capacitor would get too hot. One for that purpose
However, a common gate valve can usually be used with a large exhaust steam nozzle
can hardly be accommodated considering the space available. It is also a consequence
its large dimensions expensive. Since it is only rarely used, it is
even if it is possible to attach it, it is a machine element that should be avoided
is to strive for.
Kondensator eingedrungenen Wassermenge
erwärmt.According to the invention, the omission of the gate valve is now thereby
enables the steam space to be opened when the steam turbine is switched to exhaust
of the condenser automatically or manually controlled fills with water, so that the
Steam cannot penetrate into the condenser, only the free surface
in the connecting pipe between the turbine and. Amount of water penetrated into the condenser
warmed up.
Hierin bezeichnet
Since, as is well known, the thermal conductivity of the water is low and the free water surface in the connecting pipe is relatively small, a long exhaust operation can be made possible in this way without the condenser being significantly heated. If a considerable part of the water evaporates during the exhaust operation, a corresponding amount of water must be refilled. For the supply of water to the vapor space of the condenser during exhaust operation and for the drainage of this amount of water when the condensation operation re-enters, the inlet and outlet opening can be used, which must be present in the condenser for pressing the condenser in any case. The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment. Herein, a denotes a steam turbine, the exhaust steam of which is either precipitated in the surface condenser b or discharged into the open through the exhaust pipe c. To fill the condenser vapor space with water, a line e connected to a special pump or an elevated tank and provided with a shut-off element d is provided. The water is drained off through line f. Both lines e and f are connected to the opening provided for pressing out the capacitor. In order to prevent water from entering the exhaust pipe c or the turbine a through the exhaust pipe g when filling the condenser, an overflow pipe la is provided which opens into the discharge line f. The lines e, f, h are each provided with a shut-off device i, k, l . The cooling water pump is denoted by m, the condensate pump by n.
