Dieser Briefcopirapparat soll die bisher gewöhnliche Schraubenpresse beim Briefcopiren ersetzen. Derselbe besteht aus folgenden Theilen:This letter copier is supposed to be the usual screw press for letter copying substitute. It consists of the following parts:

1. dem Gestell b, Fig. 1, aus Holz, Glas, Porcellan oder Metall nebst den Handgriffen b';1. the frame b, Fig. 1, made of wood, glass, porcelain or metal together with the handles b ' ;

Bei diesem Apparate kommt nur ein so geringer Theil auf einmal in Berührung mit dem Copirblatt, dafs es sehr leicht ist, durch Handkraft denselben Druck, wie mit der Presse, nach und nach auf das ganze Copirblatt zu übertragen. In diesem Falle wird man sich vorzugsweise der Construction, Fig. 1 a, mit Kautschukumhüllung bedienen. Fig. 4 zeigt eine endlose Druckfläche, welche durch die Feder des Metallgestelles gespannt wird. Fig. 5 zeigt eine ähnliche Druckfläche, welche durch das Anschrauben der Handgriffe b' gegen die Kautschukplatten/ gespannt wird. In der Construction, Fig. 6, wird die Druckfläche durch die Kautschukringe/' gespannt. Die Fig. 7, 8 und 9 zeigen, wie eine aufgeschnittene Drückfläche durch die Spiralfeder f in das Gestell gespannt wird.In use, the pressure surface a of the device is rolled over the moderately wet rubber sponge and thereby moistened; but this can also be done by means of an ordinary copir brush.
