Der Erfindungsgegenstand bezieht sich auf jene bekannten Vorrichtungen zum Bedrucken beliebig gekrümmter Flächen, bei welchen die Kautschuktypen auf einer elastischen Unterlage angeordnet sind.
Gegenüber den bekannten Vorrichtungen unterscheidet sich der Erfindungsgegenstand hauptsächlich dadurch, dass an Stelle der gebräuchlichen Unterlage aus Schwammgummi eine solche aus Hektographenmasse verwendet wird. Durch diese besondere Anwendung von Hektographenmasse können die Typen ohne Verwendung von Klebemitteln auf der Unterlage durch einfaches Auflegen befestigt werden, ferner kann die Masse der Unterlage, sobald sie an Elastizität verliert, leicht durch neue Masse ersetzt werden.
Zur Führung des zu bedruckenden Gegenstandes dient eine entsprechend ein-und feststellbare Führungsschiene.
Der Erfindungsgegenstand ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 die Draufsicht und Fig. 2 die Stirnansicht derselben.
Auf dem Kasten 1, welcher die Unterlagsschicht 2 waus Hektographellmasse mit den auf einer Kautscbukplatte 3 vereinigten Typen enthält, ist eine Führungsschiene 4 einund feststellbar angeordnet. Zwecks Aufdrucken von Signaturen, Bildern oder dergl. auf die Oberfläche einer Flasche 5 oder einer anderen beliebig gekrümmten Fläche wird letztere über die Platte 3 gerollt und hiebei entlang der Schiene 4 geführt. Ist die zu bedruckende Fläche z. B. eiförmig, parabolisch oder dergl., so muss während des Abrollens des zu bedruckenden Körpers derselbe an Stellen mit kleinerem Krümmungsradius stärker gegen die Platte 3 gedrückt werden als an Stellen mit grösserem Krümmungsradius, damit die Typen sich an die zu bedruckende Fläche genau anschmiegen.
Diesen unterschiedlichen Druckverhältnissen passt sich die Typenplatto 3 infolge der bedeutenden Elastizität und entsprechenden Dicke der aus Hektographenmasse bestehenden Unterlagsschieht 2 mit Leichtigkeit an, so dass eine beliebig gekrümmte Fläche mit Hilfe der beschriebenen Vorrichtung und des eingangs erläuterten Verfahrens tadellos bedruckt werden kann.

The subject matter of the invention relates to those known devices for printing surfaces of any desired curvature, in which the rubber types are arranged on an elastic base.
Compared to the known devices, the subject matter of the invention differs mainly in that instead of the usual pad made of sponge rubber, a pad made of hectograph material is used. Thanks to this special application of hectograph mass, the types can be attached to the base without the use of adhesives by simply laying it on, and the mass of the base, as soon as it loses its elasticity, can easily be replaced by new mass.
An appropriately adjustable and lockable guide rail serves to guide the object to be printed.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely FIG. 1 shows the top view and FIG. 2 shows the front view of the same.
A guide rail 4 is arranged on the box 1, which contains the backing layer 2 made of hectographic material with the types combined on a rubber sheet 3, so that it can be locked in place. For the purpose of printing signatures, pictures or the like on the surface of a bottle 5 or any other arbitrarily curved surface, the latter is rolled over the plate 3 and guided along the rail 4. B. egg-shaped, parabolic or the like., During the unrolling of the body to be printed, the same must be pressed more strongly against the plate 3 at points with a smaller radius of curvature than at points with a larger radius of curvature, so that the types cling to the surface to be printed.
Due to the significant elasticity and corresponding thickness of the underlay 2 consisting of hectograph mass, the type plate 3 adapts to these different pressure conditions with ease, so that any curved surface can be perfectly printed with the aid of the device described and the method explained above.
