Description
Verfahren zum Betriebe elektrischer Gasreiniger für explosionsfähigen Staub oder brennbare Gase Für die Verhütung von Explosionen bei der elektrischen Gasreinigung sind schon verschiedene Mittel vorgeschlagen worden. Vorliegende Erfindung gibt hierfür einen andern Weg an. Es ist bekannt, daß bei einer bestimmten Gasgeschwindigkeit die Zündung nicht mehr in die Gasleitung zurückschlagen kann, wie man dies an jedem Bunsenbrenner beobachten kann. Wird die Gasgeschwindigkeit zu klein, so schlägt die Flamme zurück. Bei der elektrischen Gasreinigung liegt nun die Geschwindigkeit weit unter der Explosionsgeschwindigkeit. Es ist zwar schon bekannt, in elektrischen Gasreinigungskammern das Gas mit so großer Geschwindigkeit strömen zu lassen, daß der Gasstrom die Platten selbst reinigt; doch ist dies nie praktisch ausgeführt worden, weil jeder losgelöste Staub sich dem Gas wieder beimischen würde. Will man also eine elektrische Gasreinigung so betreiben, daß ein Rückschlagen der Flamme in die Gasleitung verhindert wird und dabei doch eine Niederschlagung des Staubes stattfindet, so muß man erfindungsgemäß dem Gase nur vor der Kammer eine solche Geschwindigkeit geben, daß eine Explosion nicht zurückschlagen kann, während in der Kammer selbst nur normale Geschwindigkeit herrscht. Zur Ausführung der Erfindung genügt es, daß die ganze Länge der Zuleitung oder mindestens eine Stelle derselben so eng gemacht wird, daß hier die Explosionsgeschwindigkeit überschritten wird. In der Kammer selbst verlangsamt sich dann die Gasgeschwindigkeit derart, daß eine elektrische Staubniederschlagung stattfindet.Process for operating electrical gas cleaners for explosive dust or flammable gases Various means have already been proposed for the prevention of explosions in electrical gas cleaning. So if you want to operate an electrical gas cleaning system in such a way that the flame is prevented from flashing back into the gas line and the dust is precipitated at the same time, according to the invention the gases only have to be given such a speed in front of the chamber that an explosion cannot flash back, while in the chamber itself there is only normal speed. To carry out the invention it is sufficient that the entire length of the supply line or at least one point thereof is made so narrow that the explosion speed is exceeded here. In the chamber itself, the gas velocity then slows down in such a way that electrical dust deposition takes place.
