Description
Apparatus for Sorting Coins The present invention relates to on a device for sorting coins, in which the to be sorted Coins fall on rotating discs. Such sorting devices are on known. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sorting device to create, which are not only simple in their structure, but also in their mode of operation is completely reliable. According to the present invention, one another arranged several rotating disks which are surrounded by a housing. Between the outer edge of the rotating disks and the outer casing are located annular spaces, the width of which decreases from disk to disk. The annular Gaps are dimensioned in such a way that through the uppermost gap with the exception all coins fall through the largest coin type. The following space is so much narrower than the top one that through the second gap too the second largest type of coin can no longer fall through. The third largest, type of coin can then no longer fall through the third annular space and so on. Those coins which because of their size of a certain rotating Surface cannot fall down, are carried along by this surface as it rotates and conveyed into a channel `, at the end of which a S (ammel container for the coins a certain size is provided.
The individual rotating surfaces. suitably fall after the Edges so that the coins quickly move away from the center of the surface when the surfaces are rotated be transported to the edge of the area. Above the individual rotating surfaces are along the edge of the surface annular partition walls attached to the one Side on which the mouths of the channels receiving the sorted coins are until they come close to the rotating surfaces so that the coins cannot get directly from the rotating surfaces into the named channels. Along the remaining edge parts of the rotating disks is between the lower edge the walls and the disc surface provided a gap, the height of which the density corresponds to those coins which are sorted out on the disc concerned should be. The consequence of this is that by the between the lower wall edge and the slot located on the top of the surface always only one coin of the one to be sorted out Kind can pass through. If there is another, smaller coin on this coin, so the latter is separated from the one to be sorted out through the lower edge of the partition Coin stripped.
The object of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example, namely shows: Fig. i a sorting machine according to the invention in longitudinal section, while Fig. a shows a section close to the line A-B-C-D-E-F.
In the figures, i means the housing of the sorting machine, in the interior of which the shaft 2 is arranged, which for example by the motor 3 or in any other way is made to rotate. The wave 2 carries several sorting disks arranged one above the other and sloping downwards .I, 5, 6, 7. The diameter of the sorting disks increases steadily from top to bottom to, so that the width of the annular space between the outer circumference the sorting disks and the housing wall i steadily decreases from top to bottom. The throw-in opening 8 is provided at the upper end of the housing i. Above the top one Sorting disc 4 is a surrounding wall. A part of this wall, the is marked with ga, is drawn down about a quarter of a circle so far, that the lower edge of this wall part is directly above the conical sorting surface is located. The space between the lower edge of this wall part and the Sorting area 4 is so small that no coin at the point where it is Wall part is located, can slide down from the sorting surface 4. The bottom edge the remaining circular wall gb is so far removed from the sorting surface 4 that that through the slot between the wall 9b and the surface 4 'the largest pieces of money can just slide through; however, if there are two coins on top of each other the upper stripped from the lower.
Similar to the wall ga, gb provided above the top sorting surface 4 is, walls ioa, job are arranged over the remaining sorting surfaces. The bottom edge the wall part & i oa is so close to the relevant sorting surfaces that to those. Places where the wall parts are located, no coins can slide off the rotating sorting disks. Take the wall parts ioa just like the wall part, there was about a quarter of a circular arc. Between the However, the lower edge of the Job wall parts and the rotating disks are gaps available, the amount of which is the strength of the coins on the relevant sorting surface are to be read out is adapted so that even the smallest coin, the is on one of the coins to be sorted out, is struck off by the latter. There As the size of the coins decreases from top to bottom, the size decreases accordingly Height of the slot which is arranged between the job walls and the sorting surfaces the deeper the sorting areas, to which the Job walls belong, are located. The Waadungen Joa, Job are trained in such a way that honor the upper edges with which they are attached to the housing i, as a support for the already sorted out coins of the serve the previous order of magnitude, after the latter under the wall gb or Job have essentially slipped down from the sorting disks and only still rest on the latter with a narrow edge surface.
On that side, on which the wall parts are 9- or ioa, open channels i J, iz, 1 3 and 14, which receive the sorted coins and result in Münzsammelbehältern 15, 16, 17, 18th At the entrance to the channels i J, 12, 13, 14 guide walls 2o are attached, which make it easier for the coins to slide into the channels intended for them.
The mode of operation of the subject matter of the invention is as follows: The Coins to be sorted out are poured into the funnel 8 and fall from there the top rotating sorting disc 4. As a result of the rotation of the sorting disc occurring centrifugal force and the bevel of the sorting disc slide the Coin quickly towards the edge of the sorting disc. Eel of the place where the wall ga is located, the coins of the ..S. sorting disc 4 cannot fall down, so that as a result they do not get directly into line ii can. To the. However, other places where the wall gb is located, can -the - coin ice through the slot, whichever is between the lower edge of the wall 9b- and the top of the sorting surface 4 is present, slide down from the disc 4. The distance from the outer periphery of the disc 4 to the housing wall i is slightly smaller than the diameter of the largest coin type, but larger than the diameter of all other types of coins. With the exception of the largest type of coin -trap- so the other types of coins through the space between the circumference of the disc 4 and the housing wall i through to the. Disk 5. Only here the largest Coins belonging to the type of coin stay with their one. Edge on the rotating surface 4 and with its other edge on the upper edge of the next sorting area 5 belonging ring wall ioa or job lie. With the rotation of the disk 4, which is in In the sense of the arrow a shown in Fig. 2, the largest coins are taken and fed to the channel i i, through which they then into the collecting container 15 slide down. Through the; Guide wall 2o is achieved on the one hand that the sorted out coins can easily get into the channel i J, on the other hand prevented the wall 2ö that the sorted coins unnecessarily multiple times in a circular spell, along the housing wall i .. before entering the to pass the channel serving to discharge the coins.
Instead, as already mentioned above, the remaining coins have fallen onto the sorting surface 5. The distance between the edge of the sorting surface 5 and the housing wall is chosen such that the coins of the second size cannot fall through the space between the sorting surface 5 and the housing wall onto the surface 6, but, as shown in Fig Coins ig is indicated, remain on the edge of the disc 5 or the upper edge of the second wall job. As is also shown in FIGS. I and 2, the coins ig have fallen through the first space provided between the disk 1, 1 and the wall i. The width of the slot of the upper wall Job and of the surface 5 is again chosen such that the coins 19 can just slide through this slot. If, however, other smaller coins lie on the coins ig, they are wiped off the lower edge of the wall Job when the coins ig slide through the said slot. It can never happen that a small coin, because it rests on a larger coin, ends up in a sorting compartment that is intended for the larger coin. The coin ig is conveyed in the same way as shown for the coins of the first size from the rotating disk 5 into the mouth of the channel 12 intended for it and from there into the collecting container 16.
In the same way as above with regard to the coins first and second size is specified, the western coins are also used on the following Sorting discs read out.
