Description

Process for the production of a radish preparation The radish, Raphanus sativus, provides in its roots a folk remedy much used since ancient times; Radish juice is still often recommended by doctors against gallstone problems. However, its use appeals to many patients because of its pungent odor on difficulties, while on the other hand the root in the fresh state just over lasts for a limited time. Excessive enjoyment, especially the spicy one and highly effective winter radish, has already led to symptoms of poisoning.

The surprising observation has now been made that one under Application of the process described in main patent 432053 to the fresh radish root arrives at an equally odorless and durable preparation, although the composition of the radish differs significantly from that of the allium. If you dust cut ones or grated radish with well-active adsorption charcoal, the hot one disappears Smell instantly and manage the material at low temperature without To dry the loss of active substances in such a way that it is then ground to a fine dust can and remains odorless. If the powder is suspended in warm water, so the characteristic radish smell slowly reappears, a process that only takes place in the gastrointestinal canal after ingestion of the dry material and thus bringing out the desired slow action of the entire natural drug.

Example The whole radish roots are cut into thin slices and with about 5 ° / a of their weight evenly with a good medicinal adsorbent charcoal pollinated. The pungent smell will disappear instantly and the material will expediently sharply dried at 40 to 50 ° until it is so brittle that it is finely ground can be. Even now it is odorless and can in this state or into tablets be administered pressed. Instead of starting from the whole root, radish juice can also be used treated with charcoal and similarly transformed into an odorless preparation will.
