Description
Method of regenerating glauconite using dilute saline solutions in water softening One can use glauconite and similarly composed minerals or use substances containing such compounds to soften water, whereby, as is usual with such zeolite-like materials, regeneration of the softening material takes place with red percent saline solution.
In this process it has now been found that the softened material obtained Water shows turbidity, which causes the use of the water and thus the application the softening process is significantly impaired. The cause of the occurrence these opacities could not be ascertained.
The present method for softening water with regeneration of glauconite with saline is that an advantageous for regeneration Saline solution diluted below 5 percent in contrast to that previously used is used. It has surprisingly been found that the cloudiness with a Dilution of the saline solution or with a decrease in the regeneration liquid decrease in table salt. This fact was not known. The procedure persists d, em according to the fact that one can regenerate the glauconite or other treatment of the glauconite so diluted saline solutions are used that a clear, unclouded and no precipitate water is obtained. Include such solutions about 5 percent table salt and below. The lower limit is determined by dadurc11, that a regeneration of the exhausted glaucoma must occur. For example is hardened when using 2 percent saline solution for regeneration The water is completely clear after the first regeneration and remains so clear.
