Description
Block gluing process for the production of plywood middle layers The subject is a new block gluing process for the production of plywood middle layers. The subject of the invention differs from the known block leeing process, in which the connection of the individual wood layers of the block is achieved by layers of binding agent extending over the entire surface of the layers in that only strips of fabric laid at intervals are used to connect the individual wood layers in the blocks previously provided with the appropriate adhesive. This results in a great saving of glue and, as a result, easier drying of the block and easier sawing work, which results in the use of veneer saws with their lower labor requirements and loss of tension. You have to adapt these strips of fabric to the respective wood layer to be used. In either case, round strips are best. For example, if you want to connect 2o mm thick boards in a block, you can use 3 to 5 mm thick round pieces of wood or cord or similar strips of fabric. Giant strips surrounded by glue are best placed diagonally across the grain of the individual wood layers at as wide a distance as possible. If there is enough pressure, it will be acceptable that only 5 ° lo of the entire joint area occupied at intervals secures the connection. Because especially the round wood, which in turn is preferably a softwood, completely absorbs the applied pressure, presses itself sharply into the board and, when pressed flat, lets all of its binding material become effective in stripes, securely binding. The block cutting saw therefore only has to overcome 5% glue against otherwise zoo% ö. Furthermore, the advantage is obtained that 95 % log remains completely free of glue.
In the case of ro mm and lower dictations, one must measure the cross-section of the fabric strips also take smaller. You can z. B. very thin and narrow veneer, paper or Use fabric strips for the purpose. It is also possible to stack the block in such a way that as you can see in every wood yard by separating the individual board layers The strips are placed at right angles over the board and vertically on top of each other. In addition all you need is a higher pressure and a smaller cross-section of the flat pile timber.
