The ring roller mill ^ d. H. Mills with a rotating grinding ring, in which a number
Rollers are pressed against the inner surface of the grinding ring by spring pressure or the like,
are i.a. In the embodiment known that the grist is blown by an air stream
is lifted out of the mill, or that the material falling out of the mill by its own gravity by a
ίο The air flow is raised and, in both cases, is given to a sifter. This separates
the semolina from the fine flour and feeds the former back into the mill, in which
Usually through a simple downpipe, so that it is always necessary to have such a sifter immediately
to be arranged above the mill. The peculiar thing about this visualization process is that it differs from similar aerial visualization processes used by others
The difference between types of mills is that such a very strong air flow is used
must, because it is not, as with other mills, only more or less fine
Has to convey flour, but also including coarse semolina, which is used in the ring roller mill system
the previous design could not be avoided. As is well known, however, it is necessary to convey substances through an air stream
the more power, the coarser the grain.
The present invention aims to reduce this expenditure of force in that
within the mill itself a device is created, which firstly over the edges
of the grinding ring or grinding rings exposing the falling material to the sifting stream for as long as possible
and secondly, the coarse grits that are not carried away by the sight flow,
returns to the grinding track. In the previous way by a stream of air
the circulation of the goods is brought about by a mechanical means,
and as a result the mill only needs a relatively weaker air flow
to work. As a means of promoting what has fallen over the edges of the grinding ring
Ground material is an annular track firmly connected in a known manner to the grinding ring and having a greater width than the grinding ring
used, which is designed as an outer ring shell, so concentric to the grinding ring
lies. The ground material falls from the grinding ring onto this outer ring shell and is taken up with it
and at the top by scrapers, baffles o
takes the fine material with it, while the coarse falls down and back into the
Mill arrives.
In Abb.
In Fig. Ι of the drawing, an embodiment is shown in cross section and in Fig. 2 in longitudinal section. It means α the rotating grinding ring, b, b, b the pressed grinding rollers, c the circular path attached to the grinding ring and rotating with it.
As a result of the sufficient width of this path, the ground material forced out over the edges of the grinding ring is caught by it and carried around with it by virtue of the centrifugal force. Wipers d are attached at a suitable point, which wipe the ground material from the track and allow it to fall down. During this case, it is first of all caught by the air flow, which in the figure can go, for example, from the nozzle e through the mill to the nozzle /, and what is sufficiently fine is entrained. The coarse falls on the funnel-like housing g of the mill and from here on the grinding ring a \ here it is more or less crushed, falls again over the edges of the ring, and the cycle described above can begin again. The regrind to be dispensed can be fed to either of the two nozzles e or f or through a special feed nozzle.
