Description

Process for the production of layered materials, such as mica, Paper, fibers and the like, glued together by means of shellac or other resins Plates or objects that are preferably used for insulation purposes. The invention relates to a method for the production of panels or objects, which are made of layered materials, such as mica, paper. Fibers and the like, by means of Shellac or other resins glued together and preferably for insulation purposes are used, and consists in the fact that the shellac or resin metal compounds, such as metal oxides, hydroxides, salts with volatile or non-volatile acids, the while remaining in the resin, cause no harmful properties, in fine powdered form are added, whereupon the fabrics are glued in a known manner and be pressed.

It is already known in the paint industry by fusing Metal compounds with resins, both natural and synthetic resins, to give these special properties, so that they are z. B. by their higher Melting point and their greater hardness compared to the original resins.

For gluing mica, paper webs, fibrous webs and the like. So far, one has used spiritual shellac or other resin solutions. One can Now the substances or objects produced in this way also have a higher melting point and give greater hardness, which is of great importance in many cases, by adding a suitable metal compound in finely powdered form to the shellac, etc. Adds form and then glued and pressed the substances in the usual way, with the Resins are converted into metal resin compounds with the application of heat. from It is a particular advantage here that the heat required for pressing is added. exploit can to bring about the conversion to the metal resin compound, so that the higher Melting point and the greater hardness benefit the resulting product; without that the changed solubility of the metal resin compounds a change of the previous Makes glue solution necessary.
