Beim Vertrieb der für Benzintankanlagen ?gestimmten 1Ießwerl;zeuge bestellt oft die :\ot«-endigkeit, die@el@lt-c#rlizeuge im Betrieb \-orztifülire:i, olnie# daß sie an eine den Sicher- heitserfordernissen entsprechende Ben7inlage- rung angeschlossen sind. Insbesondere be- stChen Schwierigkeiten, wenn die Benzinnieß- @@: eri:zeuge ir_ Verwaltungsgebäudeil. Fabrik- räumen oder Ausstellungsräumen zur Vor- führung in Betrieb genommen werden. wobei @#@ meisten: nicht möglich ist, die all die Ver- welldung t-on Motorbetriebsstoffen geknüpf- teil Sicherungsvorkehrungen zu erfülh#n. Man hat sich daher in solchen Fällen bisher behol- fen durch Verwendung von Wasser, welches zur Verhütung einer raschen Verschmutzung und Verrostung durch geeignete 7usätze, wie Lauge oder Seife, etwas weniger ungeeignet gemacht wurde, als es im natürlichen Zustand isst. Hierbei wird aber der Nachteil in Kauf -eilocrmien, daß das Wasser recht trübe wird und sehr zur Schaumbildung neigt. er- suche, ganz schwersiedende Kohlenwasse r- stotte, z. ß. Schweröle, zu verwenden. schei- lern all <]ein üblen Geruch dieser Ole. Die vorliegende Erfindung löst die Aufgabe durch 1'er wcndting von flüssigen Chlorkohlen- welche bekanntlich die Eigen- Schaft haben. völlig unbrennbar zu sein, einen geringen Dampfdruclz zu besitzen und nur schwach, aber angenehm zu riechen, und außerdem auf die Fläche des Metalls in ähn- licher Weise wirken wie die jegliches Fett auflösenden flüssigen Brennstoffe, so daß in dieser Hinsicht ungefähr die gleichen Vor- führungsbedingungen gegeben sind wie im praktischen Betrieb bei einer Benzinanlage. _11s Clilorkohlenwasse rstofie dieser Art koni- inen lieben anderen Chlorsubstitutionspro- dukten beispielsweise in Betracht: Dichlor- äthvlen, Trichlorätlivlen, Tetrachloräthan, Pentachloräthan, Hexaclilorätlian, Tetrachlor- kohlengtoff, -Ätlivlidenchlorid.
