Die zur Messung vorn Spurweite und Schienenüberhöhung bei Eisenbahnen gebräuchlichen Geräte sind als festes Gestänge zwischen den beiden zu messenden Schienen ausgebildet. Daraus ergibt sich ihre Unhandlichkeit und ihr Gewicht, was, zur Folge hat, daß einbesonderer Mann als Träger erforderlich ist. Damit hängt auch zusammen, daB Messungen bei unvorhergesehenen Fällen zumeist nicht ausgeführt werden können, weil der Spur- und Ü'berhähungismesser ndaht zur Hand ist. Eine Meßvorrichtung, die als leichtes Taschengerät ständig mitgeführt werden kann, also jederzeit zur Verfügung steht, bildet den Gegenstand der Erfindung.Detachable track knife.
