Verfahren zur Regenerierung des Metallgehalts von elektrolytischen
1Vletallbädern.
Stromkreise Anwendung findet. Will man statt des reinen metallischen Chroms Legierungen
Process for regenerating the metal content of electrolytic
1Vetal baths. In the known method for the electrolytic deposition of%
metallic chromium, in which the baths are preferably chromic acid, chromates or their
Contain reduction products, the use of anodes made of chromium arises
Difficulty counteracting the fact that the metallic chromium in these baths in de-energized
States and remains passive when an anodic voltage is applied, that is, itself
does not solve. A dissolving of the chromium as chrootnate or in another level of valency
must, however, be described as desirable in terms of the bathroom when working
to regenerate its chromium content. Assuming the fact that the chrome
when a weak cathodic voltage is applied in the baths mentioned
dissolves when the voltage is kept so weak that hydrogen does not yet dissolve
quantitatively and at the same time separates metallic chromium, so this results
the possibility of a process to increase the chromium content of the baths
regenerate. In short, this procedure consists in being independent
a special piece of metallic chrome is hung from the anode in the bathroom,
which either serves as a separate cathode against the anode used in the bath
or as a cathode in a special one, formed using a second anode
Circuits applies. If you want alloys instead of pure metallic chromium
of chromium with other metals, this process offers at the same time the
Easiest handling, completely independent of the rest of the composition of the
Bades to get the metal to be alloyed with the chrome into the bath, as well
like the chromium also all other metals, with the exception of platinum, when applied
a weak cathodic voltage in the solutions of chromic acid, the chromates
or dissolve their reduction products. So you will z. B. If you have an alloy
wants to win electrolytic iron and chromium in the bath in a simple manner
Hang in an auxiliary iron cathode, which is under low voltage
and constantly ensures the formation of iron chromates.
Reduktionsprodukte enthalten. The same ratios as they exist with chromic acid
also in the electrolysis of other metals that are difficult to separate, such as molybdenum,
V anadine, tantalum, etc., if the baths are the original material molybdic acid,
Contain vanadic acid, tantalic acid, etc. or their derivatives or reduction products.
It is expedient to use the cathodic auxiliary voltage in a specific way
Bringing dependence on the actual electrolyzing current. It is advisable
therefore, the current strength of the auxiliary circuit in which the auxiliary cathode is located,
in terms of amperage
by using one of the electrolyzing current
influenced electromagnets, possibly using a current amplifier or
a relay device to regulate.
