Es sind: Vorrichtungen zur Herbeiführung eines Wasserumlaufs in Dampfkesseln bekannt, welche aus über den beheizten Flächen. angeordneten Dampfhauben mit in der L;angsrichtung des Kessels liegenden Auslabstutzen bestehen, die durch unten offene Rohre mit stufenförmiger Decke verlängert sind. Die Deckenstufen bezwecken, die Form der an ihnen sich entlang schiebenden Dampfblasen dauernd zu ,ändern und dadurch die darunter befindliche Wasserzone zur -Erzewgung von Strömungen im Kesselwasser energischer mitzunehmen. Dieser Zweck wird mit den bekannten. Vorrichtungen, bei welchen die Deckenstufen schräg nach oben verlaufen, wie später näher .auseinandergesetzt werden wird, aber nur allmählich und umvölfkommen erreicht. Bei der bisherigen Bauart der Umlaufvorrichtung (Abb. i bis 3) verlaufen die Deckenstufen as, a2, a3... der Auslaßstutzen b, c schräg nach oben, so daß der an ihrer Unterseite entlangziehende Dampfstrang d ebenfalls in schräger Richtung ansteigt und daher nur .die unmittelbare, @darunterliegen& Wasserzone e in nur sehr geringer Stärke durch Reibung in schräg aufsteigender Richtung zur Mitbewegung bringt. Erst an der Oberfläche w des Wassers kann sich diese schräg aufsteigende Strömung in eine solche wagerechte Richtung umsetzen, so daß die darunterrliegenden Wasserschichten nur ganz allmählich und- unvollkommen zur Mitbewegung gebracht werden. Wesentlich anders geartete und anders- gerichtete Wasserströme, die den gewünschten Zweck einer wagerechten Vorwärtsbewegung der Wassenmassen unmittelbar und daher wesentlich vollkommener erreichen, werden aber erzeugt, wenn gemäß der Erfindung die Deckenstufen a1, a2, a3 ... im, wagerechter Richtung verlaufen.
