Description

Verfahren zum Herstellen von Formstücken und Werkzeugen, insbesondere Ziehsteinen. Zur Herstellung von harten Formstücken und Werkzeugen, insbesondere Ziehsteinen, sind verschiedene Verfahren bekannt geworden. Als Ausgangsmaterialien werden dabei die Carbide schwerschmelzender Metalle oder auch Legierungen solcher Metalle mit leichter schmelzenden vorgeschlagen. Die so hergestellten Formstücke zeigen häufig den Übelstand, daß sie zu spröde und porös sind oder daß sie nicht die genügende Härte aufweisen, tim als Werkzeug, z. B. kann -man das in Frage kommende Carbid oder ein Gemisch von Kohle und dem entsprechenden carh:idbildendenMetall pressen und die Stücke nachher sintern. Auch kann man so verfahren, daß man zunächst das carbidbildende Metall ohne Zusatz von Kohle in die gewünschte Form bringt, es undicht sintert und darauf carburiert. Das Carburieren kann :durch Tränken mit nach dem Glühen Kohle hinterlassenden Substanzen, wie Zuckerlösung, Teer usw., und darauffolgendes Erhitzen geschehen oder durch Erhitzen in einer Kohlenstoff abgebenden Atmosphäre, wie Leuchtgas, Kolilenoxvd usw., oder durch starkes Glühen der in Kohlepulver eingepackten Stücke oder in sonst bekannter Weise.According to the invention, it is easy, dense, hard and sufficient to obtain tough fittings that do not have the above-mentioned drawbacks.
