Zur Darstellung hochchlorierten Paraffins ist bisher so verfahren «-orden, daß man entweder Chlor in erhitztes Paraffin oder in Paraffinlösungen einleitete. So erhielt B o 1 1 e v (vgl.Annalen der Chemie, Band io6, Seite23o und B e i 1 s t e i n, Handbuch der organischen Chemie, 1893, Band i, Seite i o9, Absatz 3) durch Chlorieren von Paraffin bei etwa 70° ein Chlorparaffin von einem Chlorgehalt von etwa 61,:I Prozent. Dieses -Produkt ist auch bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur noch stark klebrig. Es gelang B o 11 e v nicht, ein höher chloriertes und nicht mehr klebendes Produkt zu erhalten.
