Description
Verfahren zum Herstellen von Wassergas. In dem Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von Wassergas aus körnigen Kohlen beschrieben, bei welchem Luft wie Wasserdampf derart durch die Kohle geblasen werden, daß diese sowohl während des Heißblasens wie während des Wassergasblasens sich dauernd in wirbelnderBewegung befindet. Die bei dem Blasen sich bildende Asche wird hierbei zum Teil von dem Luftgas und zum Teil von dem Wassergas mit fortgeführt, so daß auch das letztere vielfach stark staubhaltig ist.Method for producing water gas. Die Kohle kann dann auch beim Durchschicken sehr großer Dampfmengen nicht in Bewegung geraten, und die sich bildende Asche kann von den Kohlenteilchen nicht abgerieben werden, so daß sich ein weitgehend staubfreies Wassergas ergibt. Läßt man dieses unmittelbar am Generator aus einer größeren öffnung ausströmen, z. B. 3 cbm in einer Minute, und entzündet es, so verbrennt es mit fast farbloser Flamme, während sonst die Flamme intensiv gelb gefärbt ist und das nichtbrennende Gas, schon dem bloßen Auge sichtbar, Staubteilchen erkennen läßt.
