Description

Als Wegweiser ausgebildete Signalvorrichtung für den Straßenverkehr. Es ist bekannt, daß die heutigen Wegweiser in, keiner Hinsicht den modernen Verkehrsanforderungen, insbesondere dem Autoverkehr, gewachsen sind. Durch den zu oft vorkommenden primitiven Zustand derselben ist es für den sich zu Orientierenden unmöglich, im Augenblick seine Fahrtrichtung festzustellen, wie es bei dem heutigen schnellen Verkehr notwendig ist. Diesen Anforderungen entspricht vorliegende Erfindung, die einen Wegweiser darstellt, der schon aus weiter Ferne die gefwünschte Richtung deutlich und schnell erkennen läßt. Nach jeder Straßenrichtung trägt der Wegweiser eine voll sichtbare Tafel, die entsprechend der verschiedenen Richtungen in mehrfarbigen Feldern unterteilt ist. jedes Feld trägt den Namen einer Richtung. übereinstimmend mit den Farben der Namensfelder sind die Richtungspfeile. Es ist nunmehr gleichgültig, wieviel Richtungen der Wegweiser angibt; dem Richtungsurhenden fallen immer nur zwei Pfeile ins Auge, deren Farbe ,er schnell mit der unteren Tafel vergleichen kann oder umgekehrt, er sieht auf der Tafel den Richtungsnamen und' die -farben und vergleicht sie mit den sichtbaren Pfeilen. Z. B. auf der Zeichnung ist die Tafel in die Felder -Wiesbaden blau, Coblenz gelb, Limburg rot eingeteilt. Kommt der Fahrer von Coblenz, -so sieht er die Pfeile Wiesbaden-Limburg. Hat er auf der Tafel den ge: suchten Namen gelesen, so ist ihm gleichzeitig die Farbe bekannt, die auch eine der beiden Pfeile trägt. Will der Fahrer also nach Wiesbaden, so sieht er die Farbe blau. Diese Farbe trägt auch der nach Wiesbaden zeigende Pfeil.
