Description

Process for the production of fine-thread viscose silk with a particularly soft Handle, high suppleness and other good physical properties. It is known from the addition of sugar-like substances such as glucose and polyhydric alcohols or protein substances, the handle and suppleness of the spinning bath more artificial Affecting silk.

Furthermore, glycerine is already used to dry your drying for the same purpose Pulp added, and it is also already suggested slimy extracts, like mallow root and flaxseed extracts to add to the viscose.

It has now been found that the addition of highly disperse emulsoids, e.g. B. of plant mucus, to the solution of the xanthate causes a new effect, which is different from the one made by adding plant mucilage to viscose is achieved. The causes can be found in the following: Plant slimes are in the general negative colloids, which are influenced by an electrical voltage gradient migrate to the anode and flocculate there. As is well known, it takes place by the addition of the same name Charges a change in the degree of division of such colloidal systems takes place. The degree of dispersion is increased by adding plant mucilage to the solution. If the xanthate is now added to such a highly disperse system, the result is After the solution is complete, a homogeneous mixture of the highly dispersed plant slime is created and viscose colloid, a system distinguished by the fact that after Type of protective effect the extremely favorable colloid chemical property of the highly electrolyte-sensitive lyophile is transferred to the viscose. A mix Plant slime and viscose, on the other hand, can only be insufficient and uneven Partitions lead, for which segregation phenomena when standing for a longer period of time Systems speak, just like naturally inhomogeneities in felling (spinning process) are to be observed.

Aqueous plant mucilages are typical emulsoids with the disper sen phase in a high degree of fragmentation. Such systems can never have surface tension reduce the viscose because the disperse phase has too high a stability, in order to unite to form complexes, "which reduce the surface tension. In this respect, there is an essential difference between the claimed method and that of the British patent z8rgor. According to this patent specification added to the viscose substances, which lower the surface tension, with which unstable oil suspensions, but not highly dispersed emulsoids are meant. The oleates have because of their surface tension reducing power no Protective effect in the colloid chemical sense; in such a system the viscose must play the role of a protective colloid to prevent inhomogeneity of the system. 'When vegetable emulsoids are added to the solution of the xanthate on the other hand, highly dispersed systems, i.e. solutions with high surface tension, and by the fact that they were mixed with the solution and thereby further divided Emulsoids now act as protective colloids against viscose. The viscose takes then the valuable colloid-chemical properties of the protective colloid, above all the fine degree of division and thus a high surface tension.

According to the invention, the plant mucilage is used as an aqueous extract the corresponding raw products (agar-agar, Cetraria islandica, Semen psyllii, Laminaria, Salep and the like) added to the solution of the xanthate. The concentration of the mucus results from the determination of the dry matter. Extracts of i # 3 to i # 5 percent, of such a solution are a to q. Weight percent, based on viscose, added to the batch liquor before dissolving the xanthate. viscose and spinning process correspond to the usual conditions.
