Description

Device for regulating the suction of those enriched with water vapor Air from cooling water tanks in heavy oil engines, especially tractors. It it is known to reduce the temperature of the cooling water for heavy oil engines by that one uses the exhaust gases to generate an artificial air flow, which sucks the air enriched with water vapor from the cooling water tank. This The process is now with the. known facilities an uninterrupted, and consequently the amount of cooling water is continuously reduced, even when artificial cooling is not required, d. H. when the water temperature is not significantly above normal is increased. Since now, especially in tractors, the engine is only powerful The temperature of the cooling water increases when it is used as a stationary prime mover is used up to maximum performance; however, is less stressed when driving and therefore also the cold welsh is not excessively heated, moreover in this case Sufficient cooling of the container by the coating. Outside air brought about there is an artificial cooling and suction through the exhaust gases only Required in exceptional cases and usually at a point where water replacement is available Available. Now about the uninterrupted suction and the associated evaporation of the water in cases where a temperature increase does not occur and accordingly Artificial cooling is not required due to the suction effect of the suction gases is to be avoided, according to the invention in the connected to the cooling water tank known suction nozzle, into which the exhaust pipe opens, at a suitable point Built-in throttle valve, which can be opened and closed as required. will.

In the drawing is a tractor with arranged above the cylinder Cooling water tank shown.

The cooling water tank is located above cylinder a of the internal combustion engine b, to which a known suction nozzle C is connected and in which the exhaust pipe d coming out of the muffler opens. In; the nozzle e is now, one Throttle valve f arranged. Depending on the power of the engine and the corresponding increase the temperature of the cooling water - which mostly only 'when using the engine when stationary driving force is the case - the throttle valve is opened, whereby an intensive suction. the air laden with water vapor is brought about, while when driving as a tractor, empty or loaded, the throttle valve is closed will. The suction of water vapor then does not take place and the amount of cooling water remains completely or at least approximately at the same level.

The type of control for the various uses of the engine has the advantage that it brings about an intensive cooling of the water, that the other time avoids a frequent replenishment of the cooling water.
