Die bei der Reduktion von Phosphaten gewonnenen phosphorhaltigen Generatorgase bilden bei geeigneter Temperatur, wenn eine an sich übliche feuchte Charge benutzt wird, quantitativ PH, Falls diese, Gase bei niederen Temperaturen mit einer berechneten Menge Luft verbrannt «erden, so daß eine Zersetzung von Phosphorwasserstoff PH, noch nicht eintritt, also unterhalb Zersetzungstemperaturen von etwa aooo°, entsteht fast theoretisch nur phosphorige Säure.
