Verfahren zur Haftfähigmachung von Verstäubungspulvern. Verstäubungspulver, z. B. Arsenstreupulver, zur Bekämpfung von fressenden Schadinsekten kommen in ausgedehntem Maße zur Verwendung. Diesen Mitteln haftet aber der große Nachteil an, daß sie leicht vom Wind abgeweht bzw. vom Regen abgewaschen werden, so daß sie dann immer wieder von neuem aufgestäubt werden müssen. Man hat daher auch schon versucht, durch Zusatz von qu-ellungsfähigen Produkten, wie Melasse, Mehl und anderen Haftmitteln, die Haftfähigkeit der Verstäubungsmittel zu erhöhen. - Aber diese Stoffe haben sich meist nicht bewährt, weil man zu große Mengen hinzusetzen mußte, um nur einen einigermaßen festhaftenden Überzug zu erreichen.Process for making dusting powders adhesive. Wie zahlreiche Versuche erwiesen haben, genügen schon geringe Mengen dieser Zusätze, um durch die auf den Pflanzen vorhandene Feuchtigkeit, wie Tau usw., das Verstäubungspulver derart auf den Pflanzenteilen zu fixieren, daß es durch andauernde Regengüsse nicht abgewaschen wird. Beispielsweise kann man Arsenbestäubungsmittel, die z. B. Calciumarsenat enthalten, das leicht vom Regen abgespült wird, schon durch einen Zusatz von i bis 3 Prozent dieses Haftmittels derart festlegen, daß Witterungseinflüsse es nicht mehr von der Unterlage abwaschen können.
