Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein elektrisches Heizelement für
Folienschweißgeräte. Solche Geräte werden in Industrie
und Haushalt zum Verschweißen zweier oder auch mehrerer
auf einer ebenen Unterlage ausgebreiteter Folien aus
thermoplastischen Polymerwerkstoffen verwendet auf die
das Heizelement kurzzeitig, mit mäßigem Druck aufge
setzt wird.
Dabei tritt das Problem auf, die Wärmeverteilung des
Heizleiters so zu steuern, daß einerseits im Interesse
der Produktivität in möglichst kurzer Taktzeit eine fe
ste und dichte Schweißnaht entsteht, andererseits
die beteiligten dünnen Folien nicht zu zerstören, wobei
es durchaus erforderlich sein kann, die Folien unmit
telbar neben der Schweißnaht durch entsprechend stär
kere Wärmeeinwirkung abzutrennen.
Zur Erfüllung der letztgenannten Anforderung ist eine
Vorrichtung mit einem hochkant gestellten streifenför
migen massiven metallischen Heizleiter bekannt gewor
den (DE GM 85 11 950), die keinerlei Möglichkeit zur
Steuerung der Temperaturverteilung aufweist. Des weite
ren hat sich herausgestellt, daß draht- und bandförmige
massive Heizleiter eine zu geringe Standzeit haben.
Man hat die geschilderten Probleme auch mechanisch über
die Andrückkraft zu lösen gesucht, indem beispielsweise
die Auflagefläche der Folien elastisch ausgestaltet
wurde (DE GM 83 22 750) oder indem als Heizleiter Dick
schichtleiterbahnen auf einem Keramikgrundkörper in un
terschiedlicher Höhe angebracht wurden (DE OS 34 09 925).
Eine Vergleichmäßigung der Arbeitstemperatur ins
besondere in den Randbereichen des Heizleiters oder
eine gesteuerte Differenzierung derselben, wenn
beispielsweise unterschiedliche Folienlagenzahlen zu
verbinden sind, läßt sich dadurch nicht erreichen.
Diese Forderungen erfüllt eine bekannte Vorrichtung,
bei der der Heizkörper in mehrere Heizelemente unter
teilt ist, die jeweils einzeln in Abhängigkeit von der
mit Temperaturfühlern erfaßten Folientemperatur gere
gelt werden (DE GM 90 12 666). Diese technische Lösung
ist sehr kompliziert und kostspielig sowie nur bei sehr
großen, nicht im Haushalt benutzbaren Geräten anwend
bar.
Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein
einfaches und wenig aufwendiges Heizelement für Folien
schweißgeräte zu schaffen, dessen Temperatur bzw. Heiz
leistung in seiner Längsrichtung unterschiedlich ist
und das mit geringer thermischer Trägheit bei hoher
Taktfrequenz ohne zusätzliche Antihaftfolien zu arbei
ten vermag.
Diese Aufgabe wird durch die in den Patentansprüchen
beschriebene Erfindung gelöst.
Die partielle Variation der Dickschichtleiterbahn hin
sichtlich ihrer Breite und/oder Dicke ermöglicht die
Einstellung eines beliebigen, den jeweiligen Anforde
rungen entsprechenden Temperaturverlaufs.
Die Unterschichtung der als Heizer wirksamen Dick
schichtleiterbahn mit einer elektrisch und thermisch
isolierenden Schicht hemmt die Wärmeausbreitung in den
Keramikgrundkörper, wodurch Aufheizen und Abkühlen in
unmittelbarer Nähe der zu verschweißenden Folien
schneller vonstatten gehen. Dadurch werden höhere Pro
duktionstaktfrequenzen möglich, das Heizelement wird
geschont und Energie eingespart.
Die Variation der Dicke dieser elektrisch und thermisch
isolierenden Unterschichtung schafft mit der Variation
der Wärmeleitung in den Keramikgrundkörper hinein einen
weiteren Freiheitsgrad für die Variation bzw. Beein
flussung von umgesetzter Leistung und Temperatur in
Längsrichtung des Heizelements.
Die Ausführung in Dickschichttechnologie ermöglicht
mittels verwandter technologischer Verfahren die Auf
bringung einer Antihaftschicht, wodurch sich die Ver
wendung von Antihaftfolien als Verbrauchsmaterial erüb
rigt.
Die Anbringung der erwähnten Schichten auf
einer konvex gewölbten Fläche des Keramikgrundkörpers
ergibt eine mechanisch feste Anordnung, wobei durch den
wesentlich schmaleren erhabenen Heizleiter dennoch eine
scharf begrenzte Schweißnaht erzielt wird.
Die Erfindung wird nachstehend anhand der beigefügten
Zeichnung in Schnittdarstellung an einem
Ausführungsbeispiel näher erläutert.
Ein Keramikgrundkörper 1 aus Aluminiumoxidkeramik, die
eine Wärmeleitfähigkeit in der Größenordnung von
W/m*K hat, ist mit einer 0,02 . . . 0,06 mm dicken
Schicht 2 aus dielektrischem Material bedruckt, deren
Wärmeleitfähigkeit mindestens eine Größenordnung nied
riger ist. Darauf befindet sich die Dickschichtleiter
bahn 3, deren Breite am Rand 4 mm und in der Mitte 2 mm
beträgt und schließlich die Antihaftschicht 4 aus Te
flon. Die thermische Zeitkonstante bei einer erforder
lichen Aufheizung auf 150°C liegt in der Größenordnung
von < 0,5 s.
Claims (4)
1. Heizelement für Folienschweißgeräte mit einer Dick
schichtleiterbahn als Heizleiter auf einem Keramik
grundkörper, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Dick
schichtleiterbahn (3) in ihrer Längsrichtung hinsicht
lich ihrer Breite und/oder Dicke variiert ist.
2. Heizelement nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Dickschichtleiterbahn (3) zumindest teilweise
mit einer thermisch und elektrisch isolierenden Schicht
(2) unterlegt ist.
3. Heizelement nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die thermisch und elektrisch isolierende Schicht
(2) gleichfalls hinsichtlich ihrer Dicke variiert ist.
4. Heizelement nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich die Anordnung der
Schichten (2; 3; 4) auf einer konvex gewölbten Fläche
des Keramikgrundkörpers (1) befindet.
