Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for disposing of Liquid crystal substances from liquid crystal displays the preamble of claims 1 and 2 and a device to carry out the procedures.
A large number of liquid crystal displays fall every day from a wide variety of devices by committee still in the manufacture of liquid crystal displays is enlarged. When depositing these large quantities of liquid crystal displays in particular those in the Display existing liquid crystal substances an acute one Endanger the environment.
The liquid crystals contained in the liquid crystal displays Stables are a mixture of two, but mostly one Variety of substances. It is at all mainly about organic substances. Some of these substances zen were considered harmful, but especially as classified as carcinogenic.
A recovery of the liquid crystal substances from Ads are usually very difficult because of the Liquid crystal substances inserted between two glass plates are closed, the distance between them usually 6 to Is 10 µm. Due to the capillary action, the liquid crystal substances strongly prevented from escaping, provided that Ads deliberately opened at a defined location the.
The situation is different when it is stored on a depo never. Uncontrolled total destruction easily occurs liquid crystal displays. The liquid crystal sub punches can emerge unhindered and protect the environment most.
Because a liquid crystal display only has small amounts of rivers contains sig crystal substances, is a recovery from From an economic point of view hardly to be represented, because in addition to the the subsequent separation into the individual Substances would be needed.
The invention has for its object a method and a device for disposing of liquid crystal displays and to create their break, which is a detachment of the Liquid crystal substances from the other components of the Enable ads.
According to the invention the task according to the characteristic Features of claims 1 to 6 solved.
According to the invention, the liquid crystal displays are broken Chen and the broken glass with the adhering liquid crystal substances in a treatment vessel to temperatures heated above 400 ° C and discharged by a gas. Suitable gas for this is hydrogen or an inert gas, like nitrogen or argon.
The treatment of the broken glass can be carried out in batches or in Continuous process. When inserting the behan it passes through the treatment vessel upstream lock system. Here is the broken glass adapted to the atmosphere in the oven.
To treat the broken glass with the adhering liquid crystal substances become the broken glass, in a fire collected most vessel, in a treatment vessel, preferably inserted into a tubular vessel. During treatment at temperatures above 400 ° C the liquid crystals Barn substances detached from the glass parts and with the gas electricity discharged from the treatment tube. In the end the nozzle provided in the treatment tube, the gas is combined with the discharged liquid crystal substances burns or fed through an inlet pipe to a cold trap conducts in which the liquid crystal substances condense.
To condense the evaporating liquid crystal sub to avoid punching in the treatment tube, the gas is pre painting over the broken glass in a preheating oven Temperatures <400 ° C warmed. In the variant in which the gas is burned, the combustion products fed to a downstream filter and absorbed there beer.
When using an inert gas, the gas flow is through a Cold trap directed. The rivers condense in the cold trap sig crystal substances and can be a further processing tion are fed.
With the given procedure is an environmentally friendly disposal of liquid crystal displays.
These are short for the disposal of liquid crystal displays smashed and in before loading the treatment tube collected in a refractory vessel. Over a lock the refractory vessel with the broken glass into the treatment pipe into the area of the heater. After this The gas is closed via a feed line when the lock is closed the treatment tube initiated. To a good distance to reach the liquid crystal substances from the broken glass and condensation of the liquid crystal substances in the Avoiding the treatment pipe becomes a precondition for the heating furnace upstream heating oven. This is initiated in the preheating furnace preheated gas to temperatures of <400 ° C. The Hei zofen heats the broken glass to temperatures of <400 ° C. The hot gas dissolves the adhering liquid crystal substances zen from the broken glass and carries it out of the treatment tube out.
If the liquid crystal substances are burned with the gas, the end of the treatment tube is narrowed to a nozzle. At this point the gas with the contained in it Liquid crystal substances burned and the combustion pro products absorbed in a downstream filter or in washed out of a wash bottle.
If an inert gas is used as the gas, these are in the gas contained liquid crystal substances in a reshaped cold trap condensed. The condensate can targeted processing. In addition to a condensate washing out is also possible here.
After a treatment time of 5 to 20 minutes, the Liquid crystal substances removed from the glass break. Of the Gas flow is switched off and that of the adherent Liquid crystal substances can break free glass Processing tube can be removed.
The invention will be described below with reference to the drawings in Examples are explained in more detail.

The broken glass of liquid crystal displays is collected in a refractory vessel 8 and introduced through the lock 7 into the treatment tube 1 according to FIG. 1. After closing the lock 7 , a combustible gas, preferably hydrogen, is let into the treatment tube 1 through the feed line 2 . After a short purging time, the flame is ignited at the nozzle 5 . The flow rate of the hydrogen stream is reduced to a throughput of <1 l / min. set. Through the preheating furnace 3 , the introduced hydrogen stream is heated to temperatures <400 ° C. The heating oven 4 takes over the heating of the broken glass of the liquid crystal displays in the vessel 8 to the desired temperature <400 ° C. At these temperatures, the liquid crystal substances are entrained by the hydrogen flow and are burned together in the nozzle 5 at the end of the combustion tube 1 . The glass break is treated after approx. 15 min. completed. The entire amount of adhering liquid crystal substances has been discharged. The combustion products are absorbed in a downstream filter 6 .
ä.According to the variant using the apparatus shown in FIG. 2, the glass breaking after closing of the lock 7 indicated in the treatment tube 1 with nitrogen as an inert gas, such as in case of playing 1 treated. The entrained liquid crystal substances are fed with the inert gas from the treatment tube 1 via the inlet tube 11 to a cold trap 9 . In the cold trap 9, the liquid crystal substances condense and the inert gas escapes via the line 12 . The cooling trap 9 is cooled with water, brine or the like.
