Verfahren zur katalytischen Herstellung von Wasserstoff und Phosphorsäure. Die Herstellung von Wasserstoff und Phosphorsäure durch Einwirkung von Wasserdampf mit oder ohne Anwesenheit von Sauerstoff oder sauerstoffhaltigen Gasen auf Phosphordampf verläuft auch bei Gegenwart der für diese Reaktion vorgeschlagenen Kontaktkörper Tonscherben, Bauxit und Eisenoxyd nicht zufriedenstellend, wenn nicht eine unerwünscht geringe Strömungsgeschwindigkeit oder großer Wasserdampfüberschuß oder beides angewendet wird. Außerdem hat das genannte Verfahren den Nachteil, daß die erforderliche Reaktionstemperatur sehr hoch ist, wodurch u. a. in beträchtlichem Maße die niederen Oxydationsstufen des Phosphors auftreten.Process for the catalytic production of hydrogen and phosphoric acid. Halbkoks aus Steinkohle oder Braunkohle (Grude) und nach den verschiedensten Verfahren aktivierte natürliche oder künstliche Kohlen erwiesen. Die Einwirkung des Wasserdampfes auf die Kohle ist bei den in Betracht kommenden niedrigen Reaktionstemperaturen in der Regel sehr gering. Neben Wasserdampf kann man auch noch kleinere oder größere Mengen Sauerstoff oder Tuff auf den Phosphordampf einwirken lassen, wobei man im letzteren Falle zti einem Wasserstoff-Stickstoff-Gemisch gelangt, das z. B. für die Ammoniaksynthese Verwendung finden kann.
