Dabei erfolgt gemäß der Erfindung die Trennung zwischen Zündkammer X und dem Hauptkompressionsraum durch die als zylindrischer Körper ausgebildete Kolbenverlängerung Y. Diese Kolbenverlängerung lY ist so wie die Zündkammer X zentral in der Achse des Zylinders angeordnet und so bemessen, daß sie beim Eindringen in die Zündkammer an Umfang einen Querschnitt frei läßt, der gerade groß genug ist, damit das Durchschlagen der Stichflamme nach dem Hauptkompressionsraum noch erfolgen kann, dagegen eine Vermischung beider Ladungen bis zum Ende der Kompression verhindert wird.The drawing shows schematically an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. Verpuffungskraftmaschine, bei der außer dem Hauptkompressionsraum ein Vorzündungsraum angeordnet ist, in welchem leicht endzündliches Gemisch angesaugt und entzündet wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß -der Vorzündungsraum vom Hauptkompressionsraum durch einen am Kolben sitzend-en Verdränger in der Zündtotlage getrennt ist, und daß dieser Verdränger so gestaltet ist, daß er beim Eindringen in den Vorzündungsraum einen engen Querschnitt frei läßt, durch den zwar die Vermischung beider Ladungen verhindert wird, jedoch das Durchschlagen der Zündflammen in den Hauptkompressionsraum erfolgt. --.
