Description

Horn lightning arrester with induction-free resistance. In the main patent ¢ 24878 describes a horn lightning arrester with an induction-free resistor, at which a normal resistance and a normal horn of only one new insulator be worn. According to the present invention, one horn is made of a resistor mass of such a nature as, for example, Silit, worn that other insulating Fastening parts can be omitted. The horn on the high voltage is supported by a single insulator, so that, as with the main patent, only an insulator is used for the arrester. The induction-free resistor is advantageously installed in an inclined position under the spark gap in order to prevent the from Resistance to the rising flow of hot air gives the opportunity to extinguish the flame arc and an immediate permanent switch-off of the spark gap in the event of a break in the resistance to effect. The resistor is advantageously attached to the same structural part, to which the insulator is also attached.

The drawing shows two different embodiments of the subject matter of the invention shown.

According to FIG. I, the insulator i carries the horn 3 and by means of a cap the high voltage line. The induction-free resistor 2 is, on the one hand, direct connected to earth, on the other hand he wears the horn q .. The resistance contains no insulating parts, such as clay pipes, porcelain insulators, etc., but the horn q. is built on the resistor mass itself.

The improvement of the arrangement according to Fig. 2 is that here the induction-free resistor 2 at an angle under the spark gap on the same wall or is attached to the same mounting iron on which the insulator is attached i is attached. Through this. there is the one already mentioned in the main patent Advantage that the air flow rising from the heated resistance causes the flame arc drives up, but then there is also the further advantage that the resistance 2 falls in the event of a rupture to the earth and thereby. in any case a short circuit the spark gap prevented.
