August 1921 beansprucht.According to the Union Treaty of June 2, 1911, priority is due to this application of the registration in Austria of August 26, 1921.
Bei den bisherigen Verfahren zum PrägenWith the previous methods of embossing
von Löffeln, Gabeln u. dgl. war es nicht möglich, die ganze Oberfläche glatt zu prägen, es blieben immer an einigen Stellen der Ober-of spoons, forks, etc., it was not possible to emboss the entire surface smoothly, there were always some places in the upper
It was also the case with the previously used procedures not possible to use tinned cutlery or cutlery with another metal coating
Es war auch bisher nicht möglich, einzelne Teile besonders hart zu prägen.to emboss the whole surface smooth, still it was less possible to distribute this coating by embossing in such a way that the coating was subject to wear and tear Places became stronger than in places less exposed to wear. It was also not possible before, single Embossing parts particularly hard.
Alle diese Nachteile werden beseitigt durchAll of these disadvantages are eliminated by
ίο das Prägen gemäß der Erfindung in an sich bekannten allseitig geschlossenen Gesenken, wie solche in den Abb. i, la, I1 3 und 4 dargestellt sind.ίο the embossing according to the invention in a manner known generally closed dies, such as those in Figs. I, la, are shown I 1 3 and 4.
With dies of this type, one of which is fitted into the other in such a way that the material of the spoon to be finished to be embossed, as Fig any rework is not necessary. If individual parts of the spoons or forks to be finished are to be particularly hard, they are pre-worked more strongly at the relevant points. The pressure will then be correspondingly higher at these points, and since the metal cannot escape to the side either, this part of the cutlery will be harder than the other parts. The same effect can be achieved by holding the relevant part of the die a little higher. Even then, the pressure will be stronger at this point and thus the embossing will be harder than at the other points. If the rough, pre-machined spoon c, c 'is inserted into the lower die, and now the upper die B, which with its projections m! In the recesses m of the lower die, precise guidance has been pressed onto the inserted embossing piece, then with proper pressure this will rest on the walls of the dies on all sides, i.e. on all of them, including the lateral parts, as smooth and shiny as the dies themselves A burr cannot be formed if the die B is fitted into the die A well.
If the raw spoon c, c ' is held more strongly at dd than with normally pre-machined pieces, the pressure is naturally stronger here, and since the metal cannot escape anywhere, this part has to be harder.
Are spoons or the like made of iron or another hard base metal and having a cross-section L (Fig. 3) or L ' (Fig. 4), provided with a coating of a softer metal such as tin and between a pair of dies D, D ' (Fig. 3) or E, E' (Fig. 4) pressed, the softer coating metal will be pressed into the shape enclosed by the upper and lower dies. The support points Z of the spoon or its edges S 1, that is, those points that are most exposed to wear, can thus be reinforced, thereby increasing the protection that the coating is intended to provide. So far, the coating, e.g. B. tin on iron, can never be made very strong because it would then have become too rough, this is easily possible with the method according to the invention, since in the closed dies a rough and arbitrarily thick coating is stamped very smoothly in all parts will. In this way you not only get more beautiful, but also more durable cutlery than the one produced by the previously used processes.
