Als Auskleidungen werden vielfach mit Schaumstoff oder/und auch geformter Pappe, gepreßten phenolharzimprägnierten Faservliesen oder dergl. hinterlegte Stoff bespannungen, selbsttragende Mehrschichtkörper mit unterschiedlicher Faserbe wehrung (Glasfaser, Mineralfaser, usw.) verwendet. Ihre Herstellung ist meist arbeitsaufwendig, umständlich und teuer.
